Annual Clinton River Clean-up (Oakland County)

04/18/2026 09:00 AM - 01:00 PM ET

Description

About the project: Join MUCC's On the Ground program for our Annual Clinton River Clean-Up on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. We will be partnering with Metro-West Steelheaders and the Clinton River Watershed Council to improve and enhance the quality of fish and wildlife habitat on public land by removing trash in and around the Clinton River at Yates Park. This project aims to improve habitat for fish and wildlife within the riparian zone and create a cleaner community.

Meeting location: Volunteers will meet at Yates Park located in Rochester Hills, MI.

What to bring: Bring your work gloves if you have them and your enthusiasm for improving wildlife habitats! Waders, trash grabbers, trash bags, and all other necessary equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. This project will take place rain or shine unless there is severe weather, so please dress accordingly. Be prepared to work outside for the duration of the event. MUCC will provide lunch to all registered volunteers and a volunteer appreciation gift. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to reduce waste, but plastic water bottles will be available throughout the day.

Registration closes on April 17 at 12:00 PMIf you need to register or cancel after this date/time, please email MUCC's Director of Habitat Conservation and Partnerships, Olivia Triltsch, at otriltsch@mucc.org so the lunch order can be updated.
