Native Plug Planting at Pierce Cedar Creek Institute (Barry County)
Description
About the project: Join MUCC's On the Ground program and the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute (PCCI) as we plant native wildflower and grass plugs to help the process of restoring a prairie located on publicly accessible PCCI land. This project will benefit a wide variety of native wildlife and pollinator species, which rely on these native ecosystems. Volunteers will be planting side-oats grama, little bluestem, purple coneflower, rough blazing star, and wild lupine among several other species. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m on Saturday, June 21st. All registered volunteers will receive a free lunch and volunteer appreciation gift.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet at 225 W Cloverdale Rd, Hastings, MI.
